Summary: From the physician behind the popular website NutritionFacts.org, How Not to Die reveals the groundbreaking scientific evidence behind a diet that can prevent and reverse many of the causes of dis(ease)-related death.
Insight: Doctors according to Dr Greger are the 15th most impactful 'killer' when it comes to health in modern times. Statistically, medical care is the third-leading cause of death (USA). Death caused by hospital infections, unnecessary surgery, receiving the wrong medication and the numerous side effects of chronic medication. Doctors and medicine have their place and within reason. What it fails to do according to him is look at the root cause of chronic illnesses by preventing it in the first place and being able to reverse it.
I recommend using the audio book unless you love quite a heavy and scientific read. There is also the cook book to consider so you are inspired with some of the more plant-based meals you can create.
